We have from our own stock a 1967 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 4.2 2+2 which are now becoming very scarce. This car along with others was purchased from a Jaguar collector in the USA along with all his genuine spares that he had been collecting for over 40 years. The collector purchased the car from its previous owner who we are informed was the 2nd owner and had owned it since 1982 and said the mileage was correct at 50,643.
He drove it sparingly whilst in his ownership and we believe over 10 years ago decided to remove the trim and do a re-paint. As you can see he stalled out and did not complete it. The good thing is we have all the trim / headlights and misc items (as pictured) that came off the car, we are selling this as a restoration but some of the Metal work has been carried out.
It was always garaged and this equates to what looks like a reasonably solid car, we have taken photos of the underside and there is some work to do but certainly no where near what other cars of this age would require.
The bonnet is a series 1 as you can see and has had a series 2 light conversion which we believe can be changed back very easily, the shell again as you can see is a series one with the all important 3 wiper arm fixing.
This car was originally sold to Albert R Riley in the USA on 14.11.1967 and was supplied in the very attractive and limited Pale Primrose Yellow Exterior with a Black Interior.
The car has already been part restored, as you can see by the photos.
The majority of the parts are with the car as shown in the photos and as much as we cant guarantee every nut and bolt is there, we will probably be able to help with any parts that you may require through the restoration process.
The car photos are fresh this week and as you will clearly see this is much better that a lot of the same year.
These 1967 Series 1 2+2 with matching numbers are becomming scarce on the open market and tend to be a sound investment and a pleasure to own.
We have the USA Title, The all important Nova Registration and the Jaguar Heritage Certificate which when you have completed the restoration will be required to register it under a UK number plate.
We purchased the car with the intention of carrying out a full restoration and register here in the UK, time has not allowed us to carry out this so we feel it better to offer this rare car to a new owner.
PLEASE NOTE COLLECTION IS PREFERRED BUT WE CAN ARRANGE DELIVERY AT THE BUYERS EXPENSE IF REQUIRED SUBJECT TO THE CAR BEING PAID FOR PRIOR TO IT LEAVING US.
